Este trabalho tem como objetivo compreender o papel da mãe na relação com o seu filho cardiopata congênito. A priori, foi realizado o estudo dos aspectos biomédicos das cardiopatias congênitas e suas implicações subjetivas. Baseado na teoria psicanalítica winnicottiana, compreendem-se a relação mãe-filho e a constituição do corpo (noção de psicossoma) e os sentidos da cardiopatia congênita na relação mãe-filho. Os resultados revelaram temas relacionados à forma como as mães se adaptaram à sua gravidez, o diagnóstico e a situação de ter um filho com uma cardiopatia congênita. Como suporte nesses fatos, este estudo propõe que, tal como o filho, a mãe precisa ser cuidada psiquicamente. Para tal, é essencial cuidar também de seu meio-ambiente, tal como nos ensina Winnicott, para que ela possa assim, ressignificar o seu olhar sobre o filho e as vicissitudes de seu existir.

This paperwork looks at learning the role of a mother in the relationship with her
congenital cardiac child. Primarily, a study to congenital cardiac biomedical aspects
and its subjective implications was performed. Winnicott-based psychoanalytic theory
comprehends the mother-child relationship and the congenital cardiac senses in the
mother-child relationship. Results revealed themes related to the way mothers have
adapted to their pregnancy, diagnosis and to the situation of having a child with a
congenital cardiopathy. Supported on those facts, this study proposes that the
mother, like the child, needs to be psychologically taken care of. Therefore, it is also
essential to take care of her environment, as Winnicott teaches us, so that she will be
able to re-mean her look over the child and the vicissitudes of her being.
