social media. Results: The participants showed some degree of impairment in
mental health, especially in terms of stress, and this result was similar regardless of
the evaluation period, demonstrating the maintenance of mental health impairments
even after the initial impact of a pandemic scenario. There was a predominance of
women (69%) aged between 25 and 35 years, corroborating with findings in the
literature that claim that women have greater mental health impairments, associated
with factors such as total workload, working conditions and double performance
(work and home). Therefore, the DASS-21 was an easy-to- apply instrument with
similar results in the general population. Conclusion: The results found suggest that
the COVID-19 pandemic generated an even greater burden on the mental health of
physiotherapists, leading to situations of greater psychological pressure in the
workplace, both in 2020 and in 2022.
