O presente estudo tem por objetivo investigar a influência da educação e da capacidade
empreendedora na relação com a intenção de empreender e seus antecedentes, considerando
estudantes, de nível superior, de uma instituição pública de ensino. A pesquisa se ampara na
Teoria do Comportamento Planejado (TCP), verificando os efeitos da educação e da
capacidade empreendedora enquanto variávies moderadoras da relação entre a intenção
empreendedora e seus antecedentes. A atitude, as normas subjetivas e o controle do
comportamento são os preditores motivacionais que foram a intenção de empreender. Os
dados foram coletados por meio de questionário adaptado, considerando os trabalhos de
Souitares et al. (2007) e Liñan e Chen (2009), e analisados pela aplicação de modelagem de
equações estruturais de acordo com a técnica Partial Least Squares (PLS), objetivando a
análise dos efeitos da educação voltada para o empreendedorismo, bem como da capacidade
de identificar oportunidades considerando a motivação e a habilidade de inaugurar um novo
negócio. Verificou-se que não houve moderação da educação empreendedora nas relações dos
antecedentes com a intenção de empreender. Também não se verificou moderação da
capacidade empreendedora nas relações dos preditores motivacionais com a intenção, além da
atitude ocupacional e as normas subjetivas não foram relevantes para determinar a intenção
empreendedora.

The objective of this study is to investigate the influence of education and entrepreneurial
capacity in the relationship with the intention to undertake and its antecedents, considering
students of a higher education level of a public educational institution. The research is based
on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TCP), verifying the effects of education and
entrepreneurial capacity as moderating variables of the relationship between the
entrepreneurial intention and its antecedents. Attitude, subjective norms and behavior control
are the motivational predictors that were intended to undertake. The data were collected
through an adapted questionnaire, considering the works of Souitares et al. (2007), and Liñan
and Chen (2009), and analyzed by the application of structural equation modeling according
to the Partial Least Squarres (PLS) technique, aiming to analyze the effects of
entrepreneurship education, as well as the ability to identify considering the motivation and
ability to start a new business. It was verified that there was no moderation of the
entrepreneurial education in the relations of the antecedents with the intention to undertake.
There was also no moderation of the entrepreneurial capacity in the relations of the
motivational predictors with the intention, besides the occupational attitude and the subjective
norms were not relevant to determine the entrepreneurial intention.
