Esta pesquisa objetivou compreender de que forma as tensões inerentes aos Negócios de Impacto Social afetam o gerenciamento das suas cadeias de suprimentos e identificar o impacto social gerado. A orientação híbrida dos Negócios de Impacto Social é estruturada pelas lógicas institucionais dominantes sociais e comerciais que por terem objetivos conflitantes podem gerar tensões ao longo da cadeia de suprimentos. O estudo teve como base conceitual a complexidade institucional inerente aos negócios que assumem mais de uma lógica dominante como diretriz de funcionamento em suas cadeias de suprimentos, neste caso, os Negócios de Impacto Social. As complexidades institucionais identificadas nos casos, recaem sobre as tensões decorrentes dos problemas financeiros enfrentados pelos dois casos e o envolvimento emocional mais latente em um dos casos. Salienta-se que negócios caracterizados como startups receberam maior atenção de investidores externos. Foi aplicada a metodologia qualitativa de tipologia exploratória e descritiva por meio do estudo de casos múltiplos em dois Negócios de Impacto Social (moda e agricultura) localizados em Fortaleza-Ce.

This research aimed to understand how the tensions inherent in Social Impact Businesses affect the management of their supply chains and to identify the social impact generated. The hybrid orientation of the Social Impact Businesses is structured by the dominant social and commercial institutional logics which, due to their conflicting objectives, can generate tensions along the supply chain. The study had as a conceptual basis the institutional complexity inherent to businesses that assume more than a dominant logic as an operating guideline in their supply chains, in this case, the Social Impact Business. The institutional complexities identified in the cases fall on the tensions arising from the financial problems faced by the two cases and the more latent emotional involvement in one of the cases. It should be noted that businesses characterized as startups received greater attention from outside investors. The qualitative methodology of exploratory and descriptive typology was applied through the study of multiple cases in two Social Impact Businesses (fashion and agriculture) located in Fortaleza-Ce.
