O turismo exerce impacto direto no crescimento e desenvolvimento das sociedades, e as empresas empenham-se para entender o comportamento do consumidor de produtos turísticos e, por conseguinte, dos viajantes, para oferecer-lhes atrativos diferenciados. Dessa forma, este estudo propõe-se a identificar a relação entre destino fascinante, experiência memorável e intenção de (re)visitar. Para esse fim, realizaram-se 3 estudos distintos. O Estudo 1, de natureza exploratória e abordagem qualitativa, envolveu a realização de 3 grupos focais com viajantes, profissionais de turismo e profissionais de marketing. Os Estudos 2 e 3, do tipo descritivo e abordagem quantitativa, em que se utilizou de modelagem de equações estruturais para a análise dos dados. Como resultados, obteve-se, no Estudo 1, que a experiência memorável e a segurança estão entre as principais variáveis que influenciam a escolha de um destino turístico fascinante. No Estudo 2, evidenciou-se que a amizade e a riqueza influenciam a experiência memorável e que esta exerce impacto positivo na intenção de revisitar; e que segurança e pandemia não moderam a relação entre experiência memorável e intenção de revisitar. No Estudo 3, identificaram-se as variáveis cultura e expectativa como influenciadoras de um destino fascinante, e a mística e a adequação como influenciadoras da intenção de visitar. Concluiu-se que há uma relação positiva entre destino fascinante e experiência memorável - sendo o destino fascinante representado pelas variáveis amizade e riqueza - e da experiência memorável com intenção de revisitar; e que há uma relação também positiva entre destino fascinante e intenção de visitar. O estudo apresentou dados relevantes sobre os fatores que influenciam na escolha de um destino turístico, na formação de um destino fascinante e sua relação com a experiência memorável e a intenção de (re)visitar. Foram confirmadas as variáveis já existentes na literatura (mística, amizade, atratividade, riqueza, singularidade e adequação) e emergiram duas
variáveis novas, a experiência memorável e a segurança. Dessa forma, além das contribuições gerenciais, do ponto de vista acadêmico, esta tese contribui para pesquisas que enfoquem o comportamento do consumidor ao apresentar os fatores que influenciam os turistas na escolha de um destino fascinante, e auxilia na identificação de diversos outros fatores relevantes como: a mística do destino com seus mistérios e lugares exóticos; a amizade, que faz com que os turistas se sintam em casa; a riqueza, que abrange os recursos existentes no local; e a adequação, o sentimento do turista de que as experiências vivenciadas em um destino têm afinidade com a sua própria autoimagem, fatores que ajudam diversos autores nas suas pesquisas sobre destinos fascinantes e a escolha pelo destino.

The tourism has a direct impact on the growth and development of the societies, also companies strive to understand the behavior of the consumers of tourist products and, therefore, of travelers, to offer them differentiated attractions. Thus, this study aims to identify the relationship between fascinating destination, memorable experience and intention to (re) visit. To that purpose, 3 different studies were carried out. Study 1, of an exploratory nature and qualitative approach, had involved the realization of 3 focus groups with travelers, tourism professionals and marketing professionals. Studies 2 and 3, of the descriptive type and quantitative approach, in which structural equation modeling was used for data analysis. As a result, it was obtained, in Study 1, that memorable experience and safety are among the main variables that influences the choice of a fascinating tourist destination. In Study 2, became evident that friendliness and richness had influence on memorable experience and this one has a positive impact on the intention to revisit; also, that security and pandemic doesn¿t moderate the relationship between memorable experience and intention to revisit. In Study 3, the variables culture and expectation were identified as influence of a fascinating destination, and the mystique and adequacy as influence to the intention to visit. It was concluded that there is a positive relationship between fascinating destination and memorable experience - the fascinating destination are represented by the variables friendliness and richness - and the memorable experience with the intention of revisiting; and there is also a positive relationship between fascinating destination and intention to visit. The study presented relevant data on the factors that influences the choice of a tourist destination, on the formation of a fascinating destination and its relationship with the memorable experience and the intention to (re) visit. The variables already existing in the literature (mystique, friendliness, attractiveness, richness, uniqueness and fitness) were confirmed and two new variables emerged, the
memorable experience and security. Therefore, in addition to managerial contributions, from an academic point of view, this thesis contributes to researches that a focus on consumer behavior by presenting the factors that influence tourists in choosing a fascinating destination, and helps in the identification of several other relevant factors such as : the mystique of destiny with its mysteries and exotic places; friendliness, which makes tourists feel at home; richness, which embraces existing resources at the site; and the adequacy, the tourist's feeling that the experiences lived in a destination have an relationship with their own self-image, factors that helps several authors in their researches on fascinating destinations and the choice for the destination.
