O objetivo central deste trabalho foi analisar se os aspectos facilitadores e os inibidores da atividade
empreendedora feminina condiziam com a literatura acerca do tema escolhido: empreendedorismo
feminino. A pesquisa foi realizada com 11 empreendedoras com negócios na cidade de Fortaleza/CE.
Tendo em vista a pandemia do novo Coronavírus (COVID-19) ocorrida no presente ano, a coleta de
dados com essas empreendedoras se deu de forma virtual, através da plataforma Google Meet. Uma
vez que se pretendeu fornecer conhecimento com aplicação prática, tendo como foco impactar em
um problema social e econômico (os aspectos facilitadores e inibidores da ação empreendedora das
mulheres), desenvolveu-se uma pesquisa classificada como aplicada, de natureza qualitativa e
descritiva. O trabalho desenvolvido resultou nas seguintes constatações: a carência de boas
oportunidades de emprego não se constituiu, nesta pesquisa, elemento facilitador ao
empreendedorismo. A figura masculina (marido) impacta, sim, no negócio de mulheres,
principalmente das casadas. Já pais e namorados, apesar de serem importantes, não se configuram
essenciais à tomada de decisão das mulheres estudas. O medo de fracassar é destacado como principal
aliado ao pensamento em não empreender e se constitui, sim, como um potente inibidor a ações
empreendedoras feminina. A educação foi identificada como um fator neutro, sem uma definição fixa,
em relação à decisão de empreender ou não. Em relação ao preconceito por ser mulher e empreender,
para essas mulheres, não existiu. Contudo, foi destacado dois tipos de preconceito: 1. Homem versus
Mulher em subáreas em ramos tidos como femininos 2. Pressões familiares. Por último, vale destacar
que foi identificada a melhoria salarial e/ou independência financeira como facilitadora ao
empreendedorismo.

The main objective of this work was to analyze whether the facilitating and inhibiting aspects of
female entrepreneurial activity were consistent with the literature on the chosen theme: female
entrepreneurship. The survey was conducted with 11 female entrepreneurs with businesses in the city
of Fortaleza / CE. In view of the pandemic of the new Coronavirus (COVID-19) that occurred this
year, data collection with these women entrepreneurs took place virtually, through the Google Meet
platform. Since it was intended to provide knowledge with practical application with a focus on
impacting a social and economic problem (the facilitating and inhibiting aspects of women's
entrepreneurial action), a qualitative and descriptive research was developed. The work developed
resulted in the following findings: The lack of good job opportunities was not, in this research, an
element that facilitates entrepreneurship. The male figure (husband) does have an impact on the
business of women, especially married women. Parents and boyfriends, although important, are not
essential to the decision-making of the women studied. The fear of failure is highlighted as the main
ally to the thought of not undertaking and, if it constitutes a potent inhibitor to female entrepreneurial
actions. Education was identified as a neutral factor, without a fixed definition, in relation to the
decision to undertake or not. Regarding the prejudice for being a woman and undertaking, for these
women, it did not exist. However, two types of prejudice were highlighted: 1. Man versus Woman in
sub-areas in branches considered to be female; 2. Family pressures. Finally, it is worth noting that
wage improvements and / or financial independence were identified as facilitators of entrepreneurship.
