A discussão sobre sustentabilidade, em suas várias dimensões e facetas, considera que o tema deve ser tratado de uma forma sistêmica e integrado. Nesta perspectiva, a importância crescente da educação superior tem sido reconhecida mundialmente, não apenas em função do valor instrumental da formação acadêmico-profissional e das atividades de investigação científica e tecnológica para o desenvolvimento econômico e social, mas por sua contribuição decisiva para uma formação ética e cultural mais ampla da cidadania democrática, com especial atenção à formação de administradores. A presente proposta investigativa objetiva analisar de que forma se dá a inserção do ensino da sustentabilidade aplicada ao curso de Administração, em uma Instituição de Ensino Superior (IES) privada da região do Cariri Cearense. Foi tomado como base o modelo teórico proposto por Figueiró (2015), como suporte teórico central que permitiu identificar e trabalhar os mecanismos de integração da educação para sustentabilidade na formação do Administrador, utilizando ferramentas analíticas, modelos de otimização e técnicas de gestão que vai ao encontro das quatro dimensões, contextual, organizacional, curricular e pedagógica. Essas dimensões serviram como instrumentos de análise sobre como o tema da sustentabilidade é introduzido na formação superior de profissionais de Administração. Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratóriodescritiva, articulada em um estudo de caso de uma instituição de ensino superior no interior do estado do Ceará, onde o contexto cultural, geográfico, econômico e educacional já apresenta condições favoráveis a ações de sustentabilidade. Para alcançar os objetivos propostos foram utilizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas, pesquisa documental e questionários, como estratégias para levantar as informações pertinentes ao estudo. Espera-se, dessa forma, que a pesquisa contribua, dentro de um posicionamento qualitativo, com o aprofundamento dos estudos de sustentabilidade na formação de administradores. As análises apontaram que as dimensões contextual e organizacional estão contempladas com ações, mas, a efetiva disseminação Curricular e Pedagógica carece de reestruturação para que a IES pesquisada possa alcançar o status positivo de formação de administradores voltados a práticas profissionais visando a sustentabilidade.

The discussion on sustainability, in its various dimensions and facets, considers that the theme
should be treated in a systemic and integrated way. In this perspective, the growing
importance of higher education has been recognized worldwide, not only because of the
instrumental value of academic and professional training and scientific and technological
research activities for economic and social development, but also because of its decisive
contribution to ethical training and cultural dimension of democratic citizenship, with special
attention to the training of administrators. The present research proposal aims to analyze the
way in which the sustainability teaching applied to the Administration course is inserted in a
Private Higher Education Institution (IES) in the Cariri Cearense region. It was based on the
theoretical model proposed by Figueiró (2015), as a central theoretical support that allowed to
identify and work the integration mechanisms of education for sustainability in the training of
the Administrator, using analytical tools, optimization models and management techniques
that goes to the four dimensions, contextual, organizational, curricular and pedagogical. These
dimensions served as instruments of analysis on how the subject of sustainability is
introduced in the higher education of Administration professionals. This is an exploratorydescriptive research, articulated in a case study of a higher education institution in the interior
of the state of Ceará, where the cultural, geographical, economic and educational context
already presents favorable conditions for sustainability actions. In order to achieve the
proposed objectives, semi-structured interviews, documentary research and questionnaires
were used as strategies to obtain information pertinent to the study. It is hoped, therefore, that
the research contribute, within a qualitative position, with the deepening of the studies of
sustainability in the formation of administrators. The analyzes pointed out that the contextual
and organizational dimensions are contemplated with actions, but the effective Curriculum
and Pedagogical dissemination needs to be restructured so that the researched HEI can
achieve the positive training status of administrators focused on professional practices aiming
