Baseado numa compreensão de sujeito ético de Foucault, organizada em reação às características dominantes da conjuntura subjetiva da Modernidade, e contrapondo, logo, a essa conjuntura, investiga-se, também com base nesse pesquisador, as lógicas subjetivas de teor grego-clássico (século IV a.C.) e cariz moderno (séculos XIX e XX), num itinerário conhecido como arquegenealógico. Ao percorrer essas épocas, encontra-se nelas o seguinte espírito: ética grega ¿ sujeito que exerce, sempre, preferencialmente, a sua necessidade dominante, num determinado instante e em certa situação; ética moderna liberal ¿ sujeito que pratica, a todo momento, primariamente, uma restrição rigorosa de si mesmo, visando a sua anulação: só para citar uma marca fundamental de cada ética. Nesta tese, após a consideração dessas subjetividades, se concebem alguns elementos subjetivos da ética grega clássica que podem ser pensados ¿ de modo adaptado ¿ em uma estética da existência na atualidade moderna, problematizando profundamente esta realidade. Isto porque os princípios clássicos são aparentados ao olhar de sujeito ético de Foucault, e, igualmente, como esse olhar, são interessantes ¿ por sua potência e beleza ¿ para os dias de hoje.

Based on an understanding of the ethical subject of Foucault, organized in reaction to the dominant characteristics of the subjective conjuncture of modernity, and counterpoint, therefore, to this conjuncture, it investigates, also based on this researcher, the subjective logics of greek-classical content (IV century a.C.) and modern nature (XIX and XX centuries), in an itinerary known as a genealogical. As we go through these times, the following spirit is found in them: greek ethics ¿ a subject who always, preferably, has a dominant need, in a given instant and in a certain situation; liberal modern ethics ¿ subject who practices, at all times, primarily a strict restriction of himself, aiming at his annulment: only to cite a fundamental mark of each ethic. In this thesis, after the consideration of these subjectivities, we conceive some subjective elements of classical greek ethics that can be thought of ¿ in an adapted way ¿ in an aesthetic of existence in modern today, deeply problematizing this reality. This is because the classical principles are related to the look of the ethical subject of Foucault, and equally, as this look, are interesting ¿ for their power and beauty ¿ for today¿s days.
