O presente trabalho visa examinar como, a partir de Freud, a noção de herança
psíquica se interpõe à teoria psicanalítica, oferecendo subsídios para pensar a
constituição do sujeito em sua articulação com o herdado e os entraves daí
decorrentes. Busca entender ainda, com base na psicanálise, as possibilidades de
abordar os impasses provocados pela transmissão psíquica. No primeiro capítulo
faz-se uma explanação do tema na obra freudiana, apresentando três linhas de
articulação: a herança psíquica na formação de sintomas; a herança psíquica e a
formação do eu; a herança psíquica na constituição da cultura. No segundo capítulo,
apontam-se os desdobramentos da concepção de herança psíquica nos trabalhos
de autores atuais, destacando-se, a partir destas formulações, que a transmissão
psíquica pode ter um caráter subjetivante e um caráter não-estruturante. O terceiro
capítulo é o momento de apresentar os efeitos da transmissão psíquica sobre a
constituição do sujeito e a formação de seus sintomas, tendo por base a análise do
livro Por que sou gorda, mamãe?, de Cíntia Moscovich.

The former work aims to examine how, since Freud, the notion of psychic heritage
interpose itself to psychoanalytic theory, offering subsidies to think the constitution of
the subject in its articulation with the inherited and the hindrances deriving from that.
It seeks to understand as well, based on psychoanalysis, the possibilities to board
the impasses caused by the psychic transmission. On the first chapter we explain
the theme in the Freudian work, presenting three lines of articulation: the psychic
heritage on formation of symptoms; the psychic heritage and the formation of the
self; the psychic heritage on the constitution of the culture. On the second chapter,
we point to the outspreads of the conception of psychic heritage on the works of
more actual authors, contrasting, from those formulations, that the psychic
transmission can have a subjectivating character and a Non-structural character.
The third chapter is the moment to present the effects of the psychic transmission on
the constitution of the subject and the formation of his symptoms, based on the
analysis of the book Por que sou gorda, mamãe?, of Cíntia Moscovich.
